Alex Trebek’s Los Angeles Home Sells for $6.45 Million

Sitting on 1.46 acres, the 1923 Mediterranean home, which sold on May 6, includes a primary suite with high ceilings and windows as well as doors that open directly onto the property’s grounds, according to listing photos. Designed for entertaining, the main home also includes a spacious home theater, a bar area, multiple living and entertaining areas, and decks overlooking the pool.

The grounds are landscaped with mature oak trees, per the listing, and the pool area includes expansive deck seating and a slide. A one-bedroom guest cottage is located on the property, as well.

Alex Trebek hosted the popular quiz show “Jeopardy!” for nearly 37 seasons after joining the show in 1984.Trebek died at age 80 in November 2020 of pancreatic cancer.

Interim hosts on the show following Trebek’s death have included Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings.

A Los Angeles home that belonged to late “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek has sold for $6.45 million, according to records.

Trebek and his wife, Jean, purchased the five-bedroom, nearly 10,000-square-foot home for $2.15 million in 1991, and Ms. Trebek listed the home for $6.995 million in January. The couple’s daughter, Emily Trebek, an agent with Compass, handled the sale, and was not immediately available for comment. The buyer could not be identified.
