lines were revealed in a special video that had been created to celebrate the High Watchmaking collection and 50 years of Gucci Swiss Timepieces. Among the new Gucci-designed watch movements are the “GUCCI 25H SKELETON TOURBILLON,” the “G-TIMELESS PLANETARIUM,” and the “G-TIMELESS MOONLIGHT,” the “G-TIMELESS DANCING BEES” and the “GRIP SAPPHIRE.”

Gucci Unveils Its Second High Watchmaking Collection

Inspired by the sleek forms of contemporary architecture, GUCCI 25H SKELETON TOURBILLON highlights the brand’s understanding of fine-watchmaking codes. The watch features an 8mm-thick case and a see-through dial and is designed around the movement, creating an illusion of floating mechanics above the bridges at the base of the dial. The craftsmanship of this timepiece is certified by a flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock. This feature regulates the watch, while its technical design adds a contemporary, decorative touch.

With its 12 gemstones circling the dial, the G-TIMELESS PLANETARIUM features the gem-set wheel which is activated through a button, rotating around the dial in a gala of light. The arrow-shaped watch hands are a tribute to high watchmaking’s heritage of fine technical detail, while each turn of the dial is a playful reminder of Gucci Swiss Timepieces’ dynamic combination of new technology and timeless Italian style.

The dial of the G-TIMELESS MOONLIGHT is garnished with a moon, which starts its journey from a gleaming silver crescent to evolve into a pearlescent whole. Created around the new, Gucci caliber GGV838.MP, the sheer technological precision of this watch allows it to follow the 29.5-day lunar month. This timepiece only needs to be adjusted every 360 years.

The GRIP SAPPHIRE watch is made from sapphire crystal. This Jump Hour timepiece features contrasting colored glass on the minutes and hour windows. Two mint green Grip variants are added to the collection, each with a translucent caseback. The first features two laser-cut turquoise hours and minutes discs, while the other showcases mauve-pink discs. Each design is completed with a matching transparent rubber strap and sapphire crown.

The G-TIMELESS DANCING BEES masterpiece is garnished with bees that shimmer and move on the dial. For the new collection, Gucci presents new diamond-set additions to the family where master craftsmen have heightened the natural, glossy sheen of two rare opal varieties to form rectangular bricks.
