A palatial new construction estate in the upscale enclave of Pebble Beach, California, came on the market Friday asking $33.5 million.
Sitting on over 2 acres, the 10,418-square-foot five-bedroom main home dubbed “The Edge” has been designed by California-based Sterling Huddleson Architecture to maximize its sweeping views of Carmel Beach, Point Lobos, Pescadero Point and the renowned Pebble Beach golf links, according to the listing with Mauricio Umansky and Cicily Sterling of the Agency. They were not immediately available for comment.
The majority of the home’s interiors feature glass doors and wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows, listing photos show, opening onto extensive outdoor deck space that includes a seating area with a firepit. The home is solar powered and equipped with radiant heating and cooling throughout, according to marketing materials.
Entered through a large motor court and sculpture garden, the home opens into a 75-foot-long art gallery, per the listing, which leads into a spacious open-plan dining and entertaining area with 16-foot ceilings, a full bar and a dining room with butler’s pantry, all with access to the outdoor terrace and extensive waterfront and golf course views. An open kitchen and family room connect to the terrace, as well.
A primary suite boasts a “spa-like” bathroom as well as dual wardrobes, an office and a “massage/exercise room,” according to marketing materials. Other amenities in the main house include a home theater and a wine tasting room with storage for more than 3,500 bottles.
The property has on-site parking that can accommodate more than 15 vehicles, including a two-car attached garage, a two-car detached garage and two Tesla charging stations.
In addition to the primary residence, the property features an 800-square-foot one-bedroom accessory dwelling unit with its own kitchen, parking and outdoor space with ocean views.
The property last changed hands in 2016 for $7.6 million, according to records, and following completion of the current home, it briefly came on the market asking $29 million earlier this year before the listing was removed. The sellers were not immediately available for comment.
