Nestled in the Hollywood Hills overlooking the city lights, the low-slung, glass-and-wood-encased showpiece changed hands last week.
Built by architect Hagy Belzberg in 2007, the property has accolades galore, having been the recipient of numerous architecture awards from the likes of Interior Design Magazine and the American Institute of Architects, California Council.
Mr. Williams, 48, first debuted the gated compound on the market for $11.95 million in May 2020, before trimming the price down to $9.99 million. Though the final sale price was below ask, it’s still well above the $7.14 million he paid for the home in 2015 using a trust, records with PropertyShark show.
With a long and narrow footprint, the property spans more than 6,000 square feet and is loaded with wooden accents and clean lines to match its exterior. It has floor-to-ceiling windows, a formal living room with a fireplace centerpiece, a chef’s kitchen and five bedrooms, including a primary suite with a video wall, according to the listing which was held by Rayni and Branden Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates. Through a representative, the pair declined to comment.
Outside, the home’s outdoor movie theater and skate park are joined by a 70-foot infinity pool, a spa, multiple outdoor entertaining decks and a one-bedroom guest house.
A record of the sale has yet to be made public, meaning the buyer couldn’t be identified, however the anonymous owner was represented by Sally Forster Jones of Compass, according to listing records.
Mr. Williams has won 13 Grammy Awards and has been nominated twice for an Academy Award. A representative for the star did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
