The Gallery is Rolls-Royce Phantom’s unique feature. Running the entire length of the fascia, it is created to exhibit bespoke artistic creations. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Dubai, AGMC refines the unprecedented space with a bespoke piece of contemporary art – the Carbon Veil. Commissioned and designed by the Rolls‑Royce Bespoke Collective, it was realized by Alastair Gibson, who accumulated expertise from Formula 1 in creating carbon fiber sculptures. The carbon-fiber artist’s artwork is highly prized by collectors in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and in his native South Africa, and can be viewed in galleries around the world.

Finished after a two-year development process, the Carbon Veil is made from 150 sheets of carbon fibre that were permeated with resin and compressed to form a single, solid billet. The sculpture is characterized by sharp, angular surfaces and is available in either clear or matte lacquer depending on the client’s preference. The whole art piece is sealed under a single pane of glass. The gallery, just like each Phantom Gallery, was assembled in the Clean Room at Goodwood. Completed in 2020, this medical-grade facility provides a 100% sterile environment where Bespoke items and other delicate components can be produced entirely free of dust and particles.

The gunmetal exterior of the Phantom features an iced finish with gunmetal contrast hood. The coachline and waftline are highlighted in a vivid mandarin orange. The Spirit of Ecstasy is made from carbon fibre.

The interior features the anthracite brightwork along with the color-keyed rotary controls and leather detailing. The dark tones and light leather beautifully highlight the Veil Gallery. The Black Pack elements on the exterior include a black trim on the windows, the grille and the exhausts.

Protected behind glass, the Gallery houses sharp and aggressive sculpture safely.

The design of the faceted milled carbon fibre artwork was originally inspired by the angular, aggressive, stealthy shapes of the 118 WallyPower yacht.
