Sales have launched for The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Grand Cayman – the first Mandarin Oriental-branded homes in the Caribbean. Set to break ground this year, the first luxury development to be built on Grand Cayman’s southern-most coast called St. James Point is expected to be completed in 2025.
The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Grand Cayman are being developed by New York City-based co-developers Melkonian Capital Management (Melkonian) and RAL Companies (RAL). Burnett Partners, a real estate consultant that conceives, markets, and sells residences in ultra-premium resort projects worldwide, is handling global sales and marketing. International Realty Group (IRG), a leading Cayman Islands real estate brokerage, is heading up local sales under Brian Gooding. Residences range from two-bedroom homes to five-bedroom penthouses.
The first phase of the residential offering is designed by architect Hart Howerton with interiors by award-winning design firm Meyer Davis. Located on the top four and five levels of the two hotel towers, these ocean-front residences will feature terraces. Penthouses will boast plunge pools and fully equipped outdoor kitchens. The pricing for the first phase (20 homes) starts at approximately $4 million.
Chef’s kitchens will be integrated into entertainment spaces, with custom cabinetry, Calacatta marble countertops and backsplashes, and the best-in-class European appliances. Ten-foot ceilings frame floor-to-ceiling windows, with hand-laid Gray Oak flooring interiors that seamlessly integrate the indoor and outdoor spaces.
The next phase of the development will include an expansion of the resort’s amenities including a walking trail system, gardens and additional residences.
Owners will have access to the resort’s amenities and enjoy Mandarin Oriental’s five-star service. There will be the beach with its protected swimming area, adult and lagoon pools, cabana and lounge services, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, The Wellness Center with a multi-studio fitness facility, a Kid’s Club and the most elevated food and beverage experiences, with five restaurants, on the island.
Additionally, residents will have access to private transportation services, daily housekeeping, social coordination, and the Residences Elite Program offering enhanced benefits including VIP status and privileges throughout the global Mandarin Oriental hotel collection.
