The former West Hollywood home of pop darling Harry Styles hit the market last week for $7.99 million.
Mr. Styles, 28—who gained fame as a member of the disbanded boy band One Direction and has gone on to have a successful solo career—bought the contemporary home in 2016 for $6.87 million and sold it for $6 million, a loss, in 2019, records with PropertyShark show.
He used a limited liability company linked to his business manager in the U.K. for the transactions, Mansion Global previously reported.
Set behind gates, the private compound overlooks Los Angeles, from downtown to the Pacific, according to the listing with Emma Hernan of The Oppenheim Group and star of Netflix’s real estate reality show “Selling Sunset.
“This is truly a special property,” Ms. Hernan said. “It’s located in one of the most coveted pockets in L.A., nestled between the Bird Streets to the west and Sunset Plaza to the east, and moments above the famed Sunset Strip.”
The property spans 4,401 square feet over its three levels and boasts high ceilings, hardwood flooring, walls of glass and a grassy terrace.
“The home has a flowing, functional floor plan that embraces easy indoor/outdoor living, with all of the features and finishes any homeowner could ask for,” Ms. Hernan said.
There’s also a gourmet kitchen, a home theater, a gym and a primary bedroom suite—one of four bedrooms—with a private balcony, a walk-in closet and a spa-like bathroom, according to the listing.
Outside, “the backyard is a private oasis,” the listing said, and is fitted with a kidney-shaped pool, a hot tub and a cabana with a sitting area, a bar and a bathroom.
The seller is reportedly tech entrepreneur Patrick Y. Grove, who was revealed as the owner last year on an episode of “Selling Sunset,” according to Dirt, which first reported the listing. He could not be reached for comment.
